Ms. Liz Guantai is a lawyer and a UN Women global champion for women economic empowerment. She has vast experience in human rights, gender based violence, legal aid and access to justice. She has an LL.M from the University of Cape Town and a post-graduate certificate in Human Rights and Sustainable Development from the University of Antwerp. She is a consultant and advisor on human rights, women and gender and sustainable development. She has worked meaningfully with faith-based and rural communities and was awarded among 100 exemplary African youth leaders at the 1st African Presidential Leadership Program in July 2019.
